Wage Statement Information Required in Washington

Employers in Washington must comply with these state requirements relating to wage statements.

In Washington, employees must be furnished, at the time of wage payment, with an itemized statement. The itemized statement must be a separate written statement from the paycheck, issued to employees, at each payday, and pay periods must be identified on the pay statement by month, day, year and payment date.

Employers are permitted to make the pay statements available electronically provided that the employee has access to receive and copy the electronic statement on payday.
