Employers in Pennsylvania must comply with these state requirements when making the final wage payment to terminated employees.
In Pennsylvania, wages for an employee who quits or is separated by the employer are due no later than the next regular payday on which they otherwise would have been due.
Employees may request payment by mail.
The same due date applies if there is a suspension of work because of an industrial dispute, except that there is no violation if the employer is unable to prepare the payroll because of the dispute or any other reason beyond its control.
