The use of lie detector tests by employers in Connecticut is subject to these state rules.
An employer in Connecticut may not request or require an employee or prospective employee to take a polygraph examination as a condition of continuing employment or obtaining employment with the employer.
In addition, an employer may not dismiss or discipline an employee in any manner for failing, refusing or declining to take a polygraph examination.
