Paying Terminated Employees in Arizona

Employers in Arizona must comply with these state requirements when making the final wage payment to terminated employees.

In Arizona, discharged employees must be paid wages due within seven working days or at the end of the next pay period, whichever is sooner.

Employees who quit must be paid no later than the next regular payday for the pay period in which the termination occurred.

Wages are to be paid by mail if the employee so requests.
